Steven loves being a lawyer. It gives him the opportunity to help real people. Steven handles complex employment and personal injury matters throughout the country. He considers it a privilege to fight for the rights of individuals that have been harmed by large corporations. Steven has first chair trial experience, and has served as lead counsel in a number of class action cases.
Currently, Steven focuses his practice on wage and hour litigation. He represents large groups of employees that have been denied wages and overtime compensation.
Steven also has significant experience with complex mass torts. He has served on briefing sub-committees in MDL cases throughout the country. Steven has drafted Daubert briefs concerning complicated scientific evidence, as well as dispositive motions for Bellwether trials.
In addition to lawsuits on behalf of classes of individual, Steven handles many single event cases for medical negligence, product liability, and general commercial litigation.
Before joining Chapin Legal Group, LLC, Steven served as a law clerk to Judge Alan E. Norris at the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Steven also clerked for United States District Court Judge Peter C. Economus.
Steven believes it is important to give back to the community. He serves on a number of boards and committees in Columbus.
In his spare time, Steven likes to goof-off with his 7-year-old daughter Ava, and his fiancé Hillary. He thinks they’re both the “bee’s knees.”
